When the snow started Friday night, Juss was sad because he wished it would happen on a weekday, so they could get a day off from school.
Well, folks, the kids were scheduled to get out of school with a half-day on Wed. With all the snow, the school system threw up their hands and just cancelled the whole three days.
So, instead of going to school today, they are off until next year! The only sad part is that there were a lot of holiday parties scheduled for Tuesday.
Still, nice to have them home!
That’s a great early present from the schools’ Santa ;)
Happy Snow Days to them
Our county hasn’t decided yet for any day but today.
I’m glad we home school–while the streets may be safe enough for driving, they are not safe enough for kids standing out waiting for the bus. You can’t see around any of the intersections until you are actually in mid-turn.
I am sooooo jealous!! I haven’t seen snow in over 4 years–I moved from the Texas Panhandle to Southern California, and it doesn’t usually snow when I’m home for Christmas. :(
Better than my way of getting Tuesday off; see my post for details.
