Overheard at the Wright Household

Juss, chanting cheerfully in the car, "I want to be weird! I want to be weird!" John, sounding pained, "You don't have far to go."   Me: "I picked your father because he can crush people with his brain." Juss: "Daddy, crush me!" Me: "I meant crush people intellectually." Juss: "Oh. So, he doesn't have super…

Orville Can Read!

I just sat down to do some summer reading with my eldest, as I have for many summers now. He picked up Dr. Seuss's I Had Trouble Getting To Solla Sollew, which is not one of the easier Seuss's, and just read about 20 pages. Just read it. Stumbled over one word. Downright miraculous!  …

And as dreams border all worlds, not just fantasy worlds, a bit…

The boys were just too unruly, too wild, too unhappy during the manditory 15 minute breaks. For years, they would go off the diving…

Overheard at the Wright Household

Or actually on the way to the pool.   Justinian: "Faster than a speeding baby! More powerful than an unruly toddler! Able to step over a sleeping infant without waking it! It's Super Mom! Dedicated to taking care of her children. Super Mom, or Mommy, is secretly writer Jagi Lamplighter. Able to switch back and…

Car Woes

Our wonderful gray van needs more done in repairs than we paid for it. We do not have the means to repair or replace it at this particular time. If anyone knows of a very inexpensive minivan, let us know. ;-)
